Supplier delivery and quality, one portal

Stop chasing suppliers by email.

splyhub is the portal between a manufacturer and its supply base. Your suppliers see their schedule the moment it changes and confirm every line. Concerns and 8Ds, part approval, certificates and scorecards live in the same place, fed from your ERP.

Built for multi-site manufacturers in automotive and engineered components, by people who have run supplier quality. Free for your suppliers to use.

Who it is for

Four jobs, four things that stop hurting.

Quality

Never chase an 8D by email again.

The supplier fills in the 8D in the portal, step by step, each step on its own clock. Reminders and escalations go out without you. When the auditor asks for the record, it is one report.

Purchasing

Know your supply base without a ring-round.

One record per supplier: ratings, certificates, contracts, questionnaires, audits, charges and a map. The documents that expire remind the supplier, not you.

Logistics

Know what left before it arrives.

Your schedule is in front of every supplier the moment it changes, and they confirm each line. When they ship, the ASN tells you what is on the lorry, pallet by pallet, before it reaches your gate.

Goods-in

A label your scanner reads.

Every box arrives with a standard Odette label, scanned by the supplier's phone before it left, with a photo of each pallet. A wrong part is caught at their dock, not on your line.

The portal as it is

Three screens your team opens every week.

Real pages from the demo site, not drawings. The product page walks all four jobs, with the 8D clock, part approval and the supply base.

01 · Concerns & 8D

From the line to a closed 8D.

Raise the concern where the part is, with a photo from a phone. The supplier answers in the 8D form, each discipline on its own due date, and the status board shows who is late.

Every concern with its plant, part numbers, supplier and where the 8D has got to.
02 · Orders

Your schedule, in front of every supplier.

Every supplier sees their order book the way you plan it and confirms each line or proposes a change. Order Status shows who has confirmed next month and who has not, by plant.

Orders and confirmations on the product page
Order Status: every supplier with its sites, parts, the share of firm lines confirmed, changes proposed, lines awaiting an answer, arrears and the contact to ring
Who has confirmed the next four weeks of firm orders, who has proposed a change, and who is in arrears.
03 · Reporting

Numbers that agree with each other.

PPM, cost of quality and open concerns on the dashboard every morning, from the same tables the reports print from. Every fortnight, a written brief on what got better and what got worse.

Reporting on the product page
Dashboard: SCRs this month and year to date, PPM, cost of quality, open concerns, raised versus closed by month, PPM trend and a supplier-by-month concern heat map
Tiles for the month, raised against closed, the PPM trend, and a supplier-by-month heat map.
Verified despatch

Every box labelled, every box checked.

Suppliers pack the ASN on the portal, print Odette labels on the printer they already have, and scan every box with a phone before the lorry leaves, with a second scan of each box's part barcode where you want proof the part matches the label. Your system receives one standard message. No web EDI portal, no per-supplier fees.

How verified despatch works

A phone moves to the square code on each box's label in turn; each one beeps and ticks, then the pallet is photographed

Why it exists

Built to improve, not to collate.

The first version of this portal was written fourteen years ago, sitting next to a supplier quality manager at a UK manufacturer. Two things he said are still the reason it exists.

The night before the management meeting
“I spent all my time getting the figures ready, usually the day before the meeting. Then I got a grilling because the trends looked terrible. What was I doing to improve? What was my action plan? I had no answer. I had only seen the numbers the night before.”
With splyhub

The figures are on the dashboard every morning, so the month goes on the action plan and the meeting starts with it.

The month before the audit
“Of course you find the time the month before the audit. You work late, you draft people in, and you file. Wouldn’t it be better to spend that time over the year reviewing 8Ds and helping suppliers improve?”
With splyhub

The evidence is filed as the work is done. When the auditor asks, you open a page, and the month before the audit goes on suppliers.

Concerns and the 8D have had those fourteen years of daily use; the order book, PSW, delivery notices, documents, audits and despatch labelling are newer, built to the same standard.

£1,250 a month

for your first plant, and £400 a month for each plant after it. Every module, unlimited users and suppliers, go-live included.

See it with your own supply base.

A demo takes forty minutes. Bring a real supplier problem and we will walk it from the concern to the closed 8D, and show you the order book as your suppliers would see it.
