The supplier side

A to-do list, not an inbox.

A supplier signs in and sees everything you are waiting for from them. Invited by email, no software to install, nothing to pay.

One line per thing, until it is done.

The orders not yet confirmed, the 8D due Friday, the certificate about to expire, the PSW document you asked for. Their logistics, purchasing and quality contacts are tagged, so your team knows who to ring.

Their order book

The schedule, and what changed in it.

Every supplier sees their orders the way you plan them, by day, week and period, and confirms each line or proposes a date, a quantity and a reason. When the schedule moves, the part carries the change and opens to show what it was and what it is now.

Schedule Changes: every part with its quantity in each day, week and period and the change since last week beneath it
What the schedule says now against what it said a week ago: green pulled in or added, red cut. The same marks are on the supplier’s own order book.
Their labels

Your labels, from any printer.

The labels your customer's goods-in accepts, from the office printer or a 4-inch label printer through its normal driver. The phone in their pocket instead of a scanner, every screen in short words, and nothing to subscribe to. A supplier that has paid for a web EDI portal for one customer notices the difference.

Questions suppliers ask

Nothing to install, nothing to pay.

Do suppliers have to pay or install anything?
No. Suppliers are invited by email, sign in with a password and a code from their phone, and use it in a web browser or on the phone itself. Add as many people per supplier as you like.
Our suppliers have never done an 8D. Will they cope?
That is what the training drawer is for. It sits on the 8D form itself, one tab per discipline, and explains what a containment action is, how to find a root cause with the fishbone and 5-why tools, and what a corrective action has to show. A supplier learns the method while doing it, and gets the value of it, not just the form.
What does a supplier see of other suppliers?
Nothing. A supplier sees only its own record: its orders, its concerns, its documents and its scorecard. Your people see the plants they are assigned.
How does a supplier reconstruct its delivery score?
Every report that scores a supplier carries “How this is calculated”: OTIF per order line, early and short counted as misses, short notice from the customer flagged beside the line, and every line that cannot be measured listed with its reason.

See it with your own supply base.

A demo takes forty minutes. Bring a real supplier problem and we will walk it from the concern to the closed 8D, and show you the order book as your suppliers would see it.
